The weather has warmed and things are picking up at FWMA. Baby season has already started and unfortunately, this means more orphans and injured animals coming into the center. One of the newest babies is the little otter babe. She has been at FWMA for a couple weeks now and as you can see from this video, she is thriving. Have you ever seen anything so precious???
Another new young one is this beautiful Pied-Billed Grebe. I see them swimming and diving all around in the local waters, but have never seen one this close-up. What wonderful feet he has!!! No wonder he is such an expert diver!
And last, here are some of the animals currently receiving treatment or sanctuary at FWMA.
Please visit the FWMA Website at www.wakullawildlife.org.
I was very surprised to see a peacock emerging… and a cockatoo! Where did they come from? Cockatoos are can be deafening. And the feet on the grebe are amazing. They take webbed feet to a whole new level. I always love the raptors. The otter is, of course, far too cute. And it’s always nice to see a tortoise….
Will we be visiting!??!?!?!
Oh my, that otter baby is just too adorable!! Looks like as usual things are very busy around FWMA especially “Baby Season”. What dedicated and good work Chris, her family, and all the volunteers do. I think they deserve to be supported in their efforts as much as possible!
